How many days before next episode?

ABC has announced that Lost will premiere on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 9PM, TVGuide.com has also confirmed it.

The President of the ABC Entertainment Stephen McPherson announced that Lost will have a definitive end in the 2012 and anticipates a “shocking final. ” We felt it would be the only way to give the final that LOST deserves, “says McPherson.

The Executive producers of the show Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse said that Lost had always thought as a show with a beginning, middle and end (which is good knowing that fateful final of some shows like My Name is Earl and The Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles among others).Lindelof said that the show will be no longer stalled, and all the mysteries will be wrapped up too, as the nature of the smoke monster, or the the four-toed statue, the identity of Adam and Eve skeletons and the reason why the Dharma Initiative periodically resupply the island. Lindelof also indicated that the unusual abilities of Walt will be explained. Matthew Fox said the last season of Lost Jack Shephard and John Locke will come head to head and that the two lines of the time that the season 5 will now be only one and the story will be linear, no more flashbacks.

During the Comic-Con 2009 numerous reports about the sixth season were made, but Carlton Cuse said the time travel and the flash-forward seasons were over, Sawyer again will be what he always was after the loss of Juliet and the Dharma Initiative no longer play an important role. Season Six is the only season of Lost not feature any kind of preview or official promotional material as sneak-peeks or promo pictures because, according to the producers any kind of such material will be too revealing, and they are planning that every episode be shocking.
