Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
In this secuele, Taylor (Charlton Heston) and Nova (Linda Harrison) are deep into the forbidden zone, where the astronaut disappears into the rocks. The astronaut Brent (James Franciscus), who went on mission to rescue Taylor’s ship, arrives to the planet and is helped by Zira (Kim Hunter) and Cornelius (David Watson), and just ends into the forbidden zone with Nova in a search for Taylor. There, they discover a underground mutant human society ,nuclear holocaust survivors with awful consequences, they had developed psychic abilities and also lack the melamine pigment in their skin so they are semi-translucent and are forced to wear masks. These pro-humans worship a nuclear warhead missile (A Ω – Alpha and Omega) capable of exterminating all the life on Earth. The military Apes execute a campaign and end keeping track of Brent to the underworld, and in the middle of the fray, the apes come to the chapel where the bomb is ,there the Apes kill the mutant leader Mendez (Paul Richards) and Brent for killing the ape General Ursus (James Gregory), and injur Taylor, who ends up detonating the nuclear missile.
