What is the Time?

  • What is the Time?

What is the time?, well , may of us ask this same question , time is more or less a way we have to  measure a property of the objects that is called the duration. With the time that we are trying to do is to measure two consecutive events and the intervals between those events. How do we established the time? Well, what was done was to take a cyclical event and then assign it a name, like the orbit of the Earth around the Sun , which we call a year, or the orbit of the Earth itself which we call a day.How do we define a second?, Well, we take the famous day and divide it into smaller units and so with the all units of time.

Well, this is more or less what I understand about Time, but along with this, it is also believed the time is something that flows, something in which the objects move lengthwise, where the time travel is possible and something that can be measure and identified, there are others that think time is not measurable at all, that isn’t  not a thing nor event, and cannot be passable , at least backwards.

So , in summary, we have “the time” like something invented by humans, to measure the changes of the things, and “the time” like something “real” something that “flows“, the forth dimension. For me , time doesn’t exists, time is movement, because they are always moving, and the events always occur one after another and not at the same time, that’s why we say “the pass of time” , even such thing doesn’t exist, therefore time travel is simply not possible, though I’m wrong for sure.

The relativistic time tell us given an event measured by two observers with two different speed will be different for both, let’s say, someone hook at the Earth and someone traveling at
speed of light time will pass at different rhythms, though it will be normal for both observers. Let’s say you have a twin jumps on a spaceship and travels at speed of light, and you wait for him 10 years on the Earth. When your twin comes back to Earth, 10 years will have passed for you, but for your twin only a few days, you wait for 10 years, and he was on the ship only a few days, or at least that says his watch. Therefore, depending how fast you move, the time will “flows” on you. Practically we can say the twin on the ship “traveled” in time to the future.

If that is like this, what would happen if our movement were faster than the speed of light? or what would happen for example if our movement were increasingly slower almost to the point to be “static” ? Einstein said to travel faster than the speed of light is an impossibility, but if it were possible ? Would we start to go back in time, there are also some yogi stories where being induced in a deep meditation or reducing their vibrational state, they starts to experiment the time “going backwards“.

So this is more or less what time is, a measurement unit, something that doesn’t exists, or a “flows” or the fourth dimension? what do you think ?
